Gasthaus Pohlenzschanke in Burg (Spreewald)

Nice rustic inn .. Runs as a self-service, but the dishes are freshly prepared and delicious .. The homemade cakes and the homemade plinse👍 are simply a treat .. The beer garden is very nicely arranged and it is very comfortable to sit there ..

The place is very well located, but is run listlessly by the operator. Eating like from the company canteen, although you try to taste it. I found potato soup to be good, the sausage was not a water body either, but was crisp and strong in taste. Roast pork, the "brown" sauce, on the other hand, was very pale and someone in the red cabbage had taken it over with the cloves. The staff didn't seem overly motivated either.

It can be easily reached from the water. Unfortunately the food was very salty and overpriced. Self-service is ok, but everything seemed a bit shabby to me. The toilets were clean, after all.

Friendly service and a must stop there. Delicious dishes for every budget are recommended. The location is superb.

Excursion restaurant with what you need

The restaurant has a great location, only the offer and the staff leave a lot to be desired. The prices of the food is just a rip off. You also want money for the toilet, it would be good to clean it first. It's a shame for the area, if you can look for another snack. Actually, we shouldn't give a star.

What's going on, nothing works ... I won't be recommending any more guests for the time being.

The location is really nice, the gastronomy used to be really good. Unfortunately that's gone, bockwurst, or potato soup with bockwurst or potato salad with bockwurst. And the whole thing carelessly in self-service. Nothing for children. It's a shame. The Pohlenzschenke could be a pearl of the Spreewald. Really sad.

Hustling in Corona times

Great location on the water and well-kept facade. The restaurant is accessible by canoe. For a self-service restaurant, the prices are cheeky. Milk coffee = filter coffee with milk for 4.20 and curd cheese with 6 potatoes & three lettuce leaves for 9.20. People, times of crisis are no justification for rip-offs. Please make more of the great location and the buildings.

Old-established restaurant with beer garden. Simple but good dishes.

Just keep cycling if 5 km on Panzerstraße to Wotschofska restoration lying in front of you. The Polenzschänke has seen its best days. TOO BAD

This is the last stop. Coffee from the thermos and only cold. Supposedly warm bockwurst but cold. Herb curd with potatoes, potatoes hard, but 8 euros. Absolutely inflated prices and that for self-service. That throws a very bad light on the entire region and on all the hardworking people.

Quaint ambience, you sit very nicely under old trees

Now the restaurant was allowed to reopen Corona after several weeks, but what do they do with it? Everything was hygienically prepared for guests. But if you only offer 3 variations of bockwurst as food and this (with self-service) with potato soup costs 7 euros, you should not be surprised if the day tourists take care of themselves, as in the weeks before. On top of that, the bar did not yet have alcohol-free wheat and the Landskron wheat from the tap tasted somewhat chemical in the finish. Conclusion: nice place in summer, otherwise no destination.

Unfortunately I have to say, the last descent in the beautiful Spreewald. Run down and in my opinion absolutely disoriented staff (2 women). The pier is great for the boatwalkers, but what comes next is the last one. I recommend something to take food or stop somewhere else. It's just a pity with such a great object in this location.
